After the chat window has loaded click on the connect icon. Thern enter your name in the Connect window.
Once you have connected and logged in their are a variety of different buttons in the chat room. Here is a guide to tell you what they are and do.
- Disconnect from the chat server
- Enter a new room (these are made by other people on different topics and we are not responsible for their content)
- Exit this room (remain connected)
- Brings up a list of other rooms you can go to (again, we are not responsible for the content of those rooms)
- Visit the Microsoft Chat homepage (in new window)
- Change font size and style (only as you see it)
- About CentralChat
- Puts the chat box in a new floating window (close that window to return it onto the page)
- This logo shows that that person is a mod/admin/host or whatever you want to call him
- A normal chatter
- These arn't people, but server type things that allow us to register names and make people mods.
- Sends the message as usual for all readers
- Select one or more people from the user list and send a message with this button highlighted. Only you and users selected will see that message.
- Typing a message and then clicking this button will send it to all users in purple text in the format Nickname thinks: Message
- Typing a message and then clicking this button will send it to all users in purple text in the format Nickname Message
- This is were you type your messages
- This is were you see all messages sent while you have been connected
